Special thanks are in order for almost everyone I know as they have all supported me in this venture and believe in me.
Simon Pennington - Professor of Art History at Foothill College, De Anza College and Canada College. Simon has a rare gift of being able to convey excitement and passion about art and history. He shows how our civilization, like ourselves, is on a journey. What we are now is because of who we were then – that I am what I am now because of what I was then and because of who all those were before me. He helped me understand that I am here, now, in this moment the most recent link in a chain unbroken back to the first man that blew the first pigment on the wall of the first cave to show that he was there for others to remember him. Thank you Simon.Una Mjurka - Assistant Professor of Art, California State University Fresno. Una was my first ceramics teacher and she introduced me to clay as an adult. I am continually impressed by Una and her work which is introspective, subtle and moving. Her view of the world is deep but by no means still. Thank you Una.
Barbara Willis – Ceramist, Los Angeles and Malibu. Barbara has been an inspiration to me and generous of her time to a beginning ceramist. Her work spans more than half a century from art potter of the 1940’s to her present work exploring mass and color and the uniqueness of hand-built functional pottery. Thank you Barbara.
